Eden Gardens Club House to get a new look before test match against Sri Lanka

Debasis Sen, Kolkata: Anyone walking into the Eden Gardens Club House next month are sure to get their sights attracted to beautiful wall arts on the extreme ends of the main building. The beautiful work of arts are being done by renowned Asian Paints. The wall arts are the concept of none other than CAB President Sourav Ganguly.

Presently, the Club House building has the huge photographs of Pankaj Roy, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Jhulan Goswami and others. The wall arts will find its place on the walls adjacent to the vacant space on two ends of the main building. The creative portrays various cricketing actions with Eden Gardens in the backdrop and people coming to the iconic venue. Eden Gardens, we all know is a mystic venue and for fans it’s about something they dream and live about as a Kolkatan.

The work which started couple of days back will be completed before November 10, in time for the test match against the touring Sri Lankan team. The first test match of the series will be played at the Eden Gardens from November 16.

“The idea behind this was Sourav’s who wanted something that will attract the fans as they pass by the iconic venue,” said CAB joint Secretary Avishek Dalmiya.
