XtraTime Web Desk:
Kolkata giant East Bengal is going through tough times after they faced a transfer ban till January 31st of 2019 due to Sukhdev Singh issue but a day after the bad news something good for the Red & Gold Brigade has finally happened as their star Spanish defender Borja Gomez Perez has reached the City of Joy ahead of the upcoming I-League.

After reaching the airport an old lady supporter felicitated him with a Red & Gold scarf. Suddenly Borja met another East Bengal defender Salam Ranjan Singh there who also returned to Kolkata after playing the SAFF Cup for the nation. Though they didn’t know each other but the East Bengal officials introduced them to each other.

To receive Borja the club management sent Alvito de’Cunha and Debraj Chowdhury. Beside them a few fans from a fans club were present there as well. Before leaving the airport Borja took a few selfies with the fans as well. Now it will be interesting to see how his chemistry work with World Cupper Johnny Acosta during the I-League.
