Internet Desk: After signing such a versatile defender like Salam Ranjam Singh from Bengaluru FC the previous day, Kolkata giants East Bengal are firmly determined to reroute “The Blues” as the Red and Gold brigade have set their eyes on another star defender of Bengaluru. The BFC side won’t be playing in the I-League anymore and the I-League teams are working on their toes to exploit this opportunity.

Star right full-back Rino Anto who is a major asset for his team, has been sought by the Kolkata outfit, who are determined to bolster their squad to challenge for the I-league title. Anto, who currently plays for Bengaluru FC, was loaned to ISL franchise Kerala Blasters in 2016 and played for Atletico De Kolkata in 2015. The Indian International has 6 appearances for his nation, and is currently unaware of the ongoing rift surrounding the I-League and ISL controversy.

As per the reliable sources, East Bengal and Anto had held talks regarding his transfer. Though, Anto is yet to be certain about his future. The footballer has spoken with his agent to discuss the above matter and is likely to reach a decision in a few days time.

Rino is yet to decide his future and also concerned if he allows his name in the ISL draft, and fails to get a team or gets remained unsold then it will be very difficult for him to get a team at his “deserved price” in the I-League.

Bengaluru FC had decided that they would participate in the ISL this year and as a result, the side could retain only 2 players. This rule of retaining only 2 players came as a blessing for the both the Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan who won’t be participating in this year’s ISL, as the officials of both the clubs would be desperate to sign star players from Bengaluru.
