Kolkata: Kingfisher East Bengal releases their player of Asian origin Ildar Amirov on Tuesday. The Kyrgyz international failed to impress coach Trevor Morgan since he came to join the Kolkata giant and thus the officials have decided to release him today. As a consequence, the Red and Gold brigade now needs to to wait for the nod of The AIFF to get a replacement of him.

East Bengal official Mr.Debabrata Sarkar told www.xtratime.in , “Yes, we have released him today”, he also added, “He could not have adjusted to the squad and therefore we felt that we should release him.” The fourth foreigner has always been a problem for East Bengal over the years and Amirov’s issue is a continuation of that trend.

The Kyrgyz international didn’t have an impressive bio-data before coming to India and the situation thus proves the inefficiency of the officials in choosing a quality Asian foreigner.

East Bengal have released VP Suhair, Samad Ali Mullick, Koushik Sarkar and Deepak Kumar today from their I-League squad.
