Barasat: East Bengal makes a remarkable comeback against United SC to win the match 4-3 at Barsat today and held on to the top spot in the CFL points table. Dika scored a brace(48′, 88′), while Dong(74′) and Arnab (79′) scored for East Bengal.
United Club led 1-0 in the breather when Manatosh Chakladar scored a beauty with a rasping drive which went into the goal of custodian Dibyendu Sarkar in the 16th minute much against the run of play. East Bengal drew level in the 48th minute of the second session when Lalrindika Ralte scored from an inch perfect assist by Abinash Ruidas.
United went ahead in the 54th minute when Bello Rasaq converted a penalty after East Bengal custodian Dibyendu Sarkar brought down Amod Mahato in the prohibited area. Bottom placed United got a 2 goal cushion when VP Suhair scored of a pass by Budhiram Tudu.

With this win, the Red and Gold brigade claimed the top spot in the points table with 12 points from as many as games while United SC are still to open their account and sinking on the verge of relegation as the men in purple need to win all of their matches from here on to stay in a good position on the table.
