Dipanda Dicka sets an example, shows a special gesture after scoring against Lajong

Kolkata: Not just the results, the silverwares and of course the goals, Mohun Bagan’s centre forward Dipanda Dicka showed it once again why the club has been so successful in the last few years. The team spirit and bonding among the players are the real mysteries behind the success.

It was the 12th minute on the clock when Mohun Bagan was awarded a penalty against Shillong Lajong at the VYBK on Wednesday. Dipanda Dicka was the automatic choice to take the spot kick. The moment the Cameroonian rattled the back of the net, he didn’t waste a second and went running towards the touch line where Mohun Bagan’s physio Abhinandan Chatterjee was waiting with the jersey of Bagan’s injured midfielder Yuta Kinowaki. Dicka collected the jersey and immediately dedicated the goal to the Japanese mideo.

Eventually, it might be just a special gesture, but inheritedly the music of harmony and friendship which is floating the Mariners on a high every season.
