Did Virat Kohli unfollowed Sourav Ganguly on Instagram?

"I think he is more skilful than I am": Sourav Ganguly praises Virat Kohli

Xtra Time Web Desk: It seems that the animosity between Kohli and Ganguly continues to persist, as evident with both not shaking hands after the IPL 2023 game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals recently. According to a report, Kohli seemed to have unfollowed Dada on Instagram. Among the 276 people followed by Virat on his Instagram handle, Ganguly does not feature in it. The former BCCI President too do not follow Kohli on Instagram.

It remains to be seen how this animosity between Kohli and Ganguly plays out in the future, and whether they can resolve their differences and move forward on a positive note. As of now, it seems that the rift between them refuses to die down anytime soon.

Both Sourav and Virat do not share the best of relationship. It was during Ganguly’s tenure as BCCI President, Kohli was removed as the skipper of India’s ODI team had become a topic of major controversy. Ganguly claimed he had asked Kohli to not step down in the shortest format of the game. However, Kohli denied this in a press conference just days after Rohit Sharma’s appointment.

Kohli resigned from the Test captaincy just a month after the ODI captaincy saga, meaning he was no longer captain of India in any format.

Delhi Capitals is yet to win a game in ongoing IPL season since Ganguly’s return to the franchise as Director of Cricket. David Warner led side have lost each of their first five games this season. RCB’s win on Saturday is their second of the season with as many losses so far.
