Dhawan makes donation to fight COVID in generous move
Xtra Time Web Desk: Shikhar Dhawan pledged to donate Rs. 20 lakh to Mission Oxygen in order to help fund the requirement of oxygen in the country. The Delhi Capitals batsman and former Orange Cap holder in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) announced this generous contribution on his Twitter Account.
In his message, he thanked everyone for the incredible love and support he had received throughout, and said that it was now his turn to give back to the people of his country. After announcing his donation, he also thanked all frontline workers for their incredible and tireless service, saying that the country was forever indebted to them. Irrespective of whether one likes Dhawan or not, one has got to concede the fact that he has shown a great deal of empathy and love for the people of his country in making this donation, to help fight the viral disease.
