The marriage ceremony took place at the Jaypee Palace hotel in Agra. The reception will be held in ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi. Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and former India captain Virat Kohli are expected to attend.

Deepak proposed Jaya during the second half of the IPL 2021 which was played in the UAE after the last league game of Chennai Super Kings. The match was against Punjab Kings at the Dubai International Stadium. Deepak was seen proposing Jaya with a ring in the stands after the match.
