Xtra Time Web Desk: Australian opening batsman and Sunrisers Hyderabad ex-captain David Warner is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons today, as the swashbuckling opener was involved in an alleged altercation with former Australian batsman and commentator Michael Slater at a bar in the resort they were staying at in Maldives. Both Warner and Slater have denied the reports.

The Australian cricketers, support staffs and commentators in the now suspended IPL 2021 are staying at the Taj Coral Resort in Maldives. They will be staying put until the Australian government lifts the travel ban, which ends on May 15.
The alleged incident took place in the bar of the hotel where the Australian contingent is staying, and as per reports in Daily Telegraph both were involved in heated exchanges with tempers flaring in the bar at the Taj Coral Resort in Maldives.

Both Michael Slater and David Warner have denied the allegations, calling it nothing but a rumour. Slater told the Daily that the two share excellent relation and there was no chance of a fight. “There is absolutely nothing to the rumour mill buzz. Davie and I are great mates and absolutely zero chance of having a fight,” Michael Slater said. David Warner too denied the rumours, saying, “nothing happened.” According to Warner, “There has been no drama. I don’t know where you get these things from. Unless you were here and have got concrete evidence you can’t write anything. Nothing happened.”
