Hjorring, Denmark: Durbar footballers trained on the astro turf today where the matches will be played. They began with physical training session and had a meditation session under coach Biswajit Majumdar.

They did some set piece training and situation training before the players were divided into teams and played a practice match. Team A defeated Team B by a margin of 5-0.

Tomorrow there is a small opening ceremony ahead of the first match on Tuesday against Elverum FB of Norway. The players will be attending a march past ceremony in the presence of tournament organisers.

Two of the players are suffering from illness but team doctor Pratim Ray said, “Its a slight fever as they are gradually getting accustomed to the conditions. Nothing to worry and they will be available in the first match.”

Shoaib Anwar Munsi’s luggage which was missing will get it by today as the airport organisers informed the team management. Regarding preparation ahead of the opening match, captain Supriyo Ghosh said, “We are confident enough to do well here. Astro Turf won’t be a matter of concern as we are accustomed to it.Our coach is also guiding us well.”

Apart from Durbar one more team from India has come to participate in Dana Cup which is Real Sports Academy of Delhi. Durbar Academy players met with their counterpart today and met with their players. Other participants are slowly reaching here to take part in Dana Cup.

After training, the players today had a fun football session to keep themselves charged up along with the most popular game of Hjorring cage football.
