Internet Desk: Sudip Chatterjee played a captain’s knock to lead Bengal for a three point in their pre-season practice match against KSCA Colts. He scored his first century of the season. Bengal took the lead of 41 runs in the first innings and their innings got over at 358 all out.

Yesterday captain of Bengal Sudip Chatterjee was unbeaten on 89. He started his day with the same spirit. Today he scored 132 of 233 balls. He stood by the pitch how long Bengal was trailing. He boosted up the team for a 1st innings lead, which earned them three points. Now, Bengal need to defend their defeat to confirm the three points.

However, Bengal captain is not excited after the century. “I always enjoy playing under pressure. I try to get motivated in challenging conditions. I got success applying this theory every time”, said Sudip.

Beside Sudip,  Aamir Gani played a very good knock. He gave good support to his captain to make his team advance. Later Pragyan Ojha helped the team by scoring 29 runs.

Batting their second innings KSCA Colts packed up the third day leading by 63 runs. They scored 104/2 at stumps on Day 3. During the second bowling innings Indian former player Pragyan Ojha got back to his old form. He took a wicket in his 12 overs he bowled and gave away 5 maiden overs.

Bengal coach Sairaj Bahutule is all in praise of the team. He said, “There are several players in this team who came from very challenging family backgrounds. They are habituated in fighting. That spirit of them is inspiring the team”.

He specially praised Sudip by saying, “He is an outstanding player. I have many batsmen, but he has a special ability to take pressure. He played as a captain scoring a century.”

Bengal has another one day to play and save a defeat. They have their next match against Dr. Dy Patil Cricket Academy from 28th July. Prior to that match Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary is set to join the team. That is another good news for the team.
