Once again [as in 2014] against Atlético Madrid, who are an excellent side and also deserved to win the Champions League ... but Real Madrid were better.” Behind the rise and success of Real Madrid he further placed the name of Zidane. “In the Champions League we did what we had to do – and went on to win it. What more could you ask? Zidane deserves a lot of credit”, Ronaldo said. He said he was honoured to be under consideration for the UEFA Best Player award, which he won for the 2013-14 season. He reminds that if he finally wins the award the credit will obviously go to the team effort that earned the trophies. "It would be something very important for me. It's obviously an individual trophy. The most important thing was that we won trophies as a team”, said Ronaldo.
