It made its debut in the 1900 Paris Games. Cricket is among five sports for which the official proposal is submitted by LA28 to International Olympic Committee (IOC). The other sports included baseball/softball, flag football, lacrosse (sixes), and squash. The formal approval is expected to be granted during the IOC session in Mumbai next week.
