Coronavirus effect: This is what ATK coach Habas is going through in Spain

XtraTime Web Desk: The man who once again inspired ATK to record their third title win in Indian Super League is held quarantined in Madrid, his home.

Head coach Antonio Habas is the reason behind the ATK’s win over Chennai FC. He took a flight from Kolkata via Dubai to reach Madrid, which is in lock down due to the surge of fatalities that rose from 309 deaths in 16 March to 491 on 17 March.

“Madrid is blocked, the people have to be in their homes and only can go out for minimal services,” Habas told a news agency.

When asked if he faced any problems while travelling home, he said, he did have any problems there. ”I’m in my house, the government thinks that in 15 days everything will be normal.” He still can go out for essential purposes. “Yes, but you can go out to perform first needs like daily purchases, pharmacy, work and so on,” said Habas who is the only coach to win the ISL two times.

Madrid remains the area with the highest number of cases – 4,871 in Spain. The officials have started to stop the cars from other nations allowing only Spanish nationals and cross-boarder workers. Spain, the fourth most virus-infected nation after China has has more than 11,100 cases and 491 fatalities.
