Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s ace jumper Murali Sreeshankar clinched a historic silver at the Commonwealth Games 2022 with a best jump of 8.08m in the men’s long jump. Notably, this is the fourth long jump silver won by an Indian male player in the history of Commonwealth Games. He was visibly unhappy after his latest attempt was judged a foul by just 1mm.

Sreeshankar becomes India’s fourth long-jump medallist at the Commonwealth Games. He joins Suresh Babu (1978 – bronze), Anju Bobby George (2002 – bronze) and MA Prajusha (2010 – silver) on this list. No doubt it was a superb finish in his maiden CWG appearance by Sreeshankar.
