Commonwealth Games 2022: Harmanpreet Kaur named as captain; Tanya Bhatia preferred over Richa Ghosh

Xtra Time Web Desk: Harmanpreet Kaur will the Indian side as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday named a strong 15-member squad for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Mandhana will continue as vice-captain while the selection committee has also named three stand by players for the tournament. Surprising omission has been Bengal wicketkeeper batter Richa Ghosh, who has been kept in stand-by along with Poonam Yadav and Simran Dil Bahadur. Fast bowler Shikha Pandey has not found a place too in the 15-member squad.
