XtraTime Web Desk: Indian boxer Gaurav Solanki today followed the footsteps of veteran Mary Kom and won gold medal in the men’s 53kg category in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2018 in Gold Coast.

Solanki dominated most of the fight against his opponent Brendan Irvine who is from Northern Ireland and won his bout on a 4:1 verdict. It was a fast paced battle and took some tactical brilliance from the Indian to win the match.

In the second round it was only Solanki’s dominance in the game as he hit many heavy blows on his opponent to put the match in his favour.
