Kolkata: The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) has told BCCI to announce the name of the coach of Indian cricket team today. BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman took the interview of five candidates on Monday and later they postponed the announcement of appointing the new coach to discuss the names with India skipper Virat Kohli who is on vacation right now. The CoA, however thinks the board shouldn’t delay regarding this matter and they must announce the name of the new coach today.

While talking to www.xtratime.in, one of the CoA members Diana Edulji said,” We have told them that the BCCI shouldn’t wait any longer. The Sri Lanka tour is just a few days away and hopefully the name will be announced by the evening today.”

Earlier after the interview, former India skipper and CAC member Sourav Ganguly said,” “We want to speak to Virat Kohli, once he is back from America, all three of us, the respective people concerned, we will explain to him that the coaches want to function in a certain way and make sure everybody is on the same page once we make the announcement. Once, we make the announcement, it has to be till the World Cup.”
