Internet Desk: It seems Saina Nehwal is yet to recuperate from her knee surgery which occured in august this year. As her woes in 2016 continued as she lost to unseeded Thai player Porntip Buranaprasertuk in the first round of the China Open. Having lost the first game 16-21, Saina bounced back in style and won the second game 21-19 but showed rustiness in the final game to lose 14-21 and crash out of the tournament. It was a tight contest and the match lasted close to an hour.
On the other hand there's good news for 2016 Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu as the seventh seed, won her opening game in style by defeating Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chia Hsin 21-12, 21-16 to advance to the second round.
