XtraTime Web Desk: Premier League runners Manchester City can meet Juventus or Lyon in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League restart next month if they can win against Real Madrid at Etihad stadium on August 07. Pep Guardiola’s side has a 2-1 advantage over Madrid from their first leg tie at Santiago Barnebeu. Another Premier League side Chelsea will face Barcelona or Napoli if they overturn a 3-0 deficit against Bayern Munich in Germany in the last 16.


The four Champions League round of 16 second-leg ties which were postponed because of COVID-19 pandemic in March will now take place next month in the stadiums of the home teams.


Four teams have already reached the quarter-finals before the coronavirus pandemic forced football to stop and they have been drawn to face each other in the quarter-finals, with RB Leipzig taking on Atlético Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain facing Atalanta.


The tournament will be played in Portugal from the quarter-final stage, with one-off knockout games, starting on 12 August and ending 11 days later. The draw for the remaining matches of UEFA Champions League 2019-20 knock out stages were held at Nyon in Switzerland on Friday.
