CFL 2018: Henry the hero, as Mohun Bagan crowned CHAMPIONS after eight long years

XtraTime Web Desk:
Mohun Bagan finally secures their coveted Calcutta Football League Premier Division A title after a clinical performance against Calcutta Customs at a ‘full house’ Mohun Bagan Ground today with a game to spare. Ugandan forward Henry Kissekka scored a fantastic brace to end the 8-season-long wait of the Mohun Bagan supporters.

The Green and Maroon brigade took the lead in the 3rd minute of the game to set the tone of the jubilation, when Henry Kissekka triggered a powerful strike to slot the ball at the back of the net. The  Mariners got a series of opportunities in the first half, but lack of accuracy prevented them to increase the lead.

Kissekka scored the second for his team and the insurance goal to lift the title, as Kissekka again fired a superb shot, leaving the goalkeeper in further embarrassment in the 44th minute.

The win means Bagan are still unbeaten in this season and the last mini derby against Mohammedan Sporting is now of no value, as they are already the champions.
