Kolkata: The official confirmation arrives at last. The all awaited first Kolkata Derby of the season will be played on 24th September. It is also declared that the match will be played at Siliguri, followed by a meeting with Siliguri Sub-division representative Arup Ratan Ghosh. The kick off time for the game will be either at 4:30pm or at 5pm at the Kanchenjunga Stadium.
The Calcutta Football League Premier Division Group A title for the 2017 season would largely depend on that game as the winner of the derby could just win the title for that team as well. Both Mohun Bagan and Kingfisher East Bengal are playing some amazing football this season and the derby is all set to become a perfect match-up.
Interestingly, it would be the first ever Kolkata derby for so many players this time and the coaches of both the teams – Khalid Jamil and Shankarlal Chakraborty too will be managing their sides for the first time this season.
The tickets of the match would be available after 17th September from the venue as well as the East Bengal and Mohun Bagan ground.
