KOLKATA : Ranty Martins scored in Kingfisher East Bengal’s 2-1 win over Bhawanipur in a practice match played at the club ground . Much to the delight of coach Biswajit Bhattacharya , the Nigerian striker got back to his  goal scoring ways  , a quality he is famous for . There was  a lot of criticism growing against Ranty from a section of the club officials . The allegations against Ranty was , he was not fully fit . Neither  did he join the pre-season training of the club . But the biggest set back for the striker was a sudden dip in his goal scoring form . Ranty last scored in the invitational tournament in Chittagong  . Although he managed to score three goals , he  missed quite a few as well .  The first half ended goalless as both teams lost an opportunity to take the lead . Minutes into the second half  Bhawanipur took the lead through Bikash Rana . But the lead was shortlived as Ranty scored the equalizer for East Bengal  through  a thundering left  volley out side the box . Coach Biswajit Bhattacharya started Ranty  in his usual striker position today alongside Jiten Murmu  . He looked a bit shaky to start with but with the passage of time he slowly gained in confidence .  Biswajit Saha  scored the second goal for East Bengal at the dying moments of the match . East Bengal coach  looked at lot  relieved to see Ranty scoring . But at the same time was not happy with his fitness . Biswajit feels  Ranty will be a completely different striker once he regain full fitness . Meanwhile Du Dong Hyun , who is still nursing an injury was seen busy going through rehab with his team mates at the side lines . The Korean rang alarm bells as the side have been coceeding goals in almost every match , but at the same time sounded confidence about winning matches for Red and Gold . He reminded the die hard  fans to wait with patience to see a lot many goals scored from his deadly  free kicks . Meanwhile the club officials after discussing with the coach have almost finalized the name of the fourth foreigner whose name is to be announced shortly .
