Internet Desk: Blow for the Men in Blue as their star middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav is ruled out of the squad for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, said the BCCI today. The first ODI will be played at Dharamsala on Sunday.

Jadhav has suffered a hamstring injury which has ruled him out from the series. In his place the selectors have called Tamil Nadu all-rounder Washington Sundar.

“Jadhav suffered a left hamstring injury during training on Friday and will undergo scans. The BCCI medical team will continue to monitor him,” a BCCI release stated.

Sundar has had an impressive outing at the Indian Premier League in the limited opportunities he got at Rising Pune Supergiants.

Earlier, the 18-year-old Chennai cricketer had earned his maiden call-up into the Indian team for the Sri Lanka T20I series.
