Bizarre: Warner gets bowled by Chahal but bails didn’t get dislodge | IPL2022
Xtra Time Web Desk: Bizarre things have happened in the game of cricket. On Wednesday night fans witnessed another such incident during the IPL game between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at DY Patil Stadium. DC opener David Warner was beaten all ends up and bowled but surprising everyone the bails did not get dislodged.
Replays did show the ball kissing the stumps as the light comes out but bails remained intact, which helped Warner survive. The incident happened in the final ball of the 9th over bowled by Rajasthan Royals leg spinner Yuzuvendra Chahal. The Aussie opener was not looking fluent in the middle. The ball by Chahal hit a good length just outside off and spun back and beat Warner. The ball kissed the stumps as the lights flashed but the bails did not get dislodged.
Later after the over Chahal was seen having a word with Warner.
