XtraTime Web Desk – A hard fought battle between Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC ended in favour of the red miners as Stephen Eze’s only goal gave Jamshedpur FC three crucial points.

The match was very tight from the first whistle. Rehenesh had no time to settle as the goalkeeper brilliantly denied Ospeth’s free-kick in the 3rd minute of the match. Jamshedpur didn’t keep quiet as they retaliated well. Unfortunately, both the teams were unable to break the dead lock. Jamshedpur kept the pressure on Bengaluru and created some amazing chances but lacked the finishing touch.

Rehenesh was brilliant once again as he blocked and saved in a matter of seconds which could’ve been a easy goal for Bengaluru FC. His save kept Jamshedpur in the hunt. The first half ended 0-0 but it was Rehenesh who was the hero for Jamshedpur FC in the first half.

In the second half, Bengaluru played offensive football as they looked eager to get all three points. Both the teams were competing at their highest level as it was getting tougher for both to get a goal. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu this time saved a shot that kept Bengaluru in the hunt but the intent was clear from Jamshedpur. Peter Hartley was again brilliant in the match as most of the time Bengaluru’s attack couldn’t get past this man! Fortunately, Stephen Eze got the goal in the 79th minute. His third goal of the season secured all three points for the red miners. Bengaluru tried to get a equaliser but Jamshedpur kept their defence tight and won the match!

Jamshedpur are now 3rd in the league table with 13 points from 9 games. Bengaluru slipped a place as they are now 4th in the table with 12 points from 8 games.
