Internet Desk: After head coach Anil Kumble, BCCI too is strict over maintaining discipline in the team. Following that regulation the board warned KL Rahul for posting a photograph which can set a ‘bad example’ to the Indian fans.

Few days ago head coach of India Anil Kumble set a regulation of charging fine for Indian players who will come late at the team bus. However, no bar was imposed on players’ enjoyment. Still BCCI found something objectionable in the behavior of KL Rahul.

The Indian batsman scored well in the two practice matches. But a photograph of him posing with a beer pint damaged his impression. BCCI wrote to the manager of the team against this post which went viral in social media for the last few days. Apart from KL Rahul Umesh Yadav, Stuart Binny and a member of the management team was also seen in the
objectionable photograph.

“Some of the BCCI officials aren’t happy with players posting such images on social media. There has been no written communication, bu the manager has been asked to send a message to the players to ensurethat nothing that could set a bad example should be posted online,” said a BCCI official.

The official also elaborated the reason of charging KL Rahul and theothers present in the photograph. “Many kids blindly follow the star cricketers’ actions on and off the field, so our boys have got to always keep that in mind. They should always consider the sense and sensitivities of Indian cricket fans,” the official continued.

There was quick reaction from the part of the Indian players. Abruptly the photograph was picked up from the social media. KL Rahul who had earned a good impression, has to fight hard on the field after this incident.

According to sources, Rahul scoring two half centuries in two warm up matches has a good chance to be in the first XI in the upcoming first test against West Indies starting from 21st July.

Apart from this step to bring discipline the ‘Fine Committee’ has also been formed comprising of three Indian team members. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named as the chairman of the committee. Cheteshwar Pujara will collect the fines. Shikhar Dhawan will look after the claims of the players who will object of the fines charged on them.

The Fine Committee is formed mainly to keep punctuality among the players. “We’ve had a trial run so far. No one has been fined yet. It’s difficult to say who will give the most fine, it depends on punctuality and a lot of other things. Whatever we collect, it will go
to charity. We not yet decided which charity and so on, but that will be decided soon”, confirmed Chairman of fine committee and fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
