BCCI shifts the venue for third test in Dharamsala to Indore | INDvsAUS

Xtra Time Web Desk: The third Test of the ongoing Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from March 1-5 has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore. Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully.

There were doubts in staging the third test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Dharamsala. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) had re-laid the outfield.

Recently the Ranji Trophy semi-final between Madhya Pradesh and Bengal was held in the same venue.

BCCI did send its chief curator Taposh Chatterjee to Dharamsala on February 12 to assess the conditions.

The third test between India and Australia is scheduled to start from March 1
