Xtra Time Web Desk: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, now in London to skip his family holiday and fly back to India in Mohali to watch Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match.

There have been lots of rumours in the cricket fraternity and in social media that Ganguly & Kohli were in not good terms recently which triggered due to Kohli’s comments about his captaincy just before the South African tour. However it appears that Dada will be present in person to watch Kohli’s 100th test.

When Team India will come to play the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, that moment will be very special for the batsman who will play the 100th Test match of his career. Every player’s dream is to play 100 Tests and that dream of Virat Kohli is now being fulfilled. It has also been confirmed that 50 percent of the audience will be allowed for the special occasion. Earlier, there was a ban on spectators in the first Mohali Test but BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly had made an effort to bring slight changes in it.

Ganguly expressed, “I did not play with Virat but I have seen his game. I saw the beginning of his career and now I saw the whole journey of how he became great. His technique, positivity, footwork, balance is really amazing.”

He further added, “Virat Kohli changed his game after the 2014 tour of England. He was struggling in England, I had seen that Test series, I was a commentator there. After this Virat Kohli ruled the world cricket for the next five years. This keeps happening. Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar have also seen such wonderful days in their careers many times.”

Meanwhile, Kohli’s fans have strong hope for the batsman that Kohli will score a century and will put an end to the two years of wait. Till now no Indian cricketer has scored a century in his 100th Test. Ricky Ponting has done this for Australia, Inzamam and Javed Miandad have done this for Pakistan. Recently Joe Root scored a century in his 100th Test. Will Virat Kohli be the first Indian cricketer to score 100 in his 100th Test match?
