Xtra Time Web Desk: Former Indian pacer Abey Kuruvilla was appointed as senior national selector last year, has left his post and will take over as the new General Manager (Cricket Operations), a post vacated by Dhiraj Malhotra.

While appointing Kuruvilla, it wasn’t taken into account that he had completed four years as chairman of the junior national selection committee, so all he had was one year. Kuruvilla has played 10 Tests for India and his appointment was ratified during BCCI’s Apex Council Meeting on Wednesday.
