BCCI President Sourav Ganguly keeps his 48th birthday a low key affair

XtraTime Web Desk: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly kept his 48th birthday a low key affair. The former India captain decided not to celebrate his birthday due to the current situation because of the coronavirus pandemic. It was routine as usual for Ganguly as he went to office for his work on Wednesday. He was requested by the office bearers to cut a small cake to celebrate his birthday. The BCCI President will have a small get together with his close family and friends at his residence in Behala.

Unlike previous birthday’s, if he is in the town there is normally a huge gathering of fans in front of his residence. The fans come in numbers, carrying banners, posters, flowers for their favorite Prince of Kolkata. For his fans Sourav is always the next door Dada.

Ganguly has got even busier than his playing days. He starts his day early and seldom works till midnight busy with business work, cricket administration, keeping commitments the brands he endorses, television shoots and a host of other things.

He has even a bigger responsibility now as BCCI President. With uncertainty looming large over the hosting of Indian Premier League (IPL) at home due to rising cases, the BCCI is even having a Plan B ready to take the cash rich league away from the country.
