Asian Games 2018: India’s Manjit Singh puts up a sublime show, wins Gold in men’s 800m

India’s Manjit Singh puts a sublime display to secure gold medal in the Asian Games men’s 800m final, finishing the race in 1:46.15. Compatriot Jinson Johnson came second and won silver, completing the race in 1:46.35 and nudging ahead of Qatar’s Abdalla Abubaker to the finish line.

India’s medal tally has risen to 47 after the medals won by Manjit Singh and Johnson, who gave India its ninth gold and 17th silver medal of the 18th Asian Games.
