Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma led Indian team to leave for Dubai on August 23

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 will travel to Dubai on August 23. Prior to their departure all the players will assemble at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for a fitness camp. The players were given a break after returning from West Indies.

All the players chosen for the Asia Cup squad will have to report to the NCA on August 18 for a mandatory fitness test before leaving for Dubai. It is also learnt the players will undergo a three-day camp before they kick-start their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against arch rivals Pakistan on August 28.

Deepak Hooda and Avesh Khan, who are part of both Zimbabwe ODIs and the Asia Cup will travel directly to Dubai after the conclusion of the series on August 22. They will be exempt from the training camp and mandatory fitness test but will join up with the rest of the squad on August 23.
