Xtra Time Web Desk: It was a brilliant comeback by left arm quick Arshdeep Singh in the first T20I against South Africa at the Greenfield Stadium in Trivandrum on Wednesday. Arshdeep, who was given rest for the recently concluded series against Australia was back with a bang. Recharged and refreshed, Arshdeep produced a great spell of swing bowling as he had the Proteas batters in tatters. His victims included the likes of Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, and David Miller.

The pacer from Punjab picked his first wicket off his second delivery. He dismissed Proteas opener Quinton de Kock. With a back of a length delivery, Arshdeep forced de Kock to play the ball away from his body. With the Proteas batter attempting a wild whack, dragged the ball on to the stumps.

He dismissed Rilee Rossouw of his fifth delivery of the first over A delivery pitched outside the off stump saw the ball moving away from the batter. Roussou attempted a very lazy shot to play the delivery and ended up edging the ball to Rishabh Pant behind.

But the best of his three wickets had to be the wicket of David Miller. With a perfect swinging delivery he sent David Miller packing. A back of a good length delivery saw Miller stay rooted to the crease. The ball on the other hand, with a sharp turn went through the batter to dislodge the stumps. It had Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant looking to each other in awe.
