Arshdeep Singh advised by Rahul Dravid to play County Championship games for Kent |

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been signed by English county side Kent to play in five Championship Games. The pacer from Punjab was advised by Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid to play a few county games to improve his bowling and gain experience. Dravid has represented Kent during his playing days.

“I am excited to play red-ball cricket in England and continue to improve my skills in the first-class game. I look forward to performing in front of Kent’s Members and supporters; Rahul Dravid has already told me it is a Club with a great history,” Arshdeep said after his signing with the county side.

The Punjab Kings pacer will be available to play five matches in June and July as an overseas player for Kent, subject to regulatory approval. He will be the third overseas player to play for the county for the upcoming season. George Linde has been signed to play all formats as part of his two-year deal while Kane Richardson has been signed to play the T20 Blast.

Arshdeep, who made his ODI debut in New Zealand last November has played 29 ODIs for India till date.
