Xtra Time Web Desk: Arjun Tendulkar on Wednesday emulated a record held by his father Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun like his illustrious father, scored a hundred on first class debut. Arjun, who decided to play for Goa this season after not getting enough opportunities for Mumbai, scored a hundred in Elite Group C match against Rajasthan at the Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground in Porvorim on Tuesday.

The great Sachin Tendulkar too scored a hundred on his first-class debut against Gujarat at the Wankhede stadium on December 22, 1988.

Arjun smashed his hundred off 178 balls that included two hits to the fence and equal number of over boundaries.

Arjun, had shifted to Goa earlier this year after not getting enough opportunities to represent Mumbai, shined with the bat in his maiden innings. The 23-year-old walked in to bat at number 7 and scored the three-figure mark.
