XtraTime Web Desk – It’ll be surprising and disappointing if from here India doesn’t win the boxing day test against Australia. Australia currently has 133 on board with the loss of 6 wickets. They have a lead of 2 runs after India finished with 326 runs on board in the first innings.

Ajinkya Rahane completed his century on day two itself and just when everyone thought he could make it a big one, he was unfortunate to get run-out. He encouraged Jadeja to do well and the left hander went to contribute 57 runs. As said, India finished on 326 runs. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon took 3 wickets for the Aussies.

In the second innings, Indian bowlers performed exactly like they did in the first innings. Umesh Yadav got Joe Burns early but unfortunately he suffered an injury and was ruled out for the day. However, Rahane no problem whatsoever. Others stepped up as Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets and Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin picked one each.

Even though they just picked one wicket each, their bowling was brilliant. They kept the pressure intact and thus Australia lost 6 wickets in quick succession. Bumrah got Steve Smith’s wicket while Ravi Ashwin picked Labuchagne’s wicket.

There was a lot of banter in today’s play as well. Rishabh Pant and Matthew Wade had a lot of verbal communication but it was all friendly. However, Wade looked confident as in the post match conference, the Aussie challenged that anything above 100 and Australia will have be able to defend that. However, the way Indians are playing, it’ll be tough for Aussies to get a lead above 100. However in cricket, nothing is impossible!
