Another 2018 World Cupper to play in the I-league ?

XtraTime Web Desk: Gokulam Kerala is in advance talks to sign 2018 Panama World Cupper, Valentin Pimentel to add to their foreigner quota for the upcoming 2018-19 I-League season.





Valentin Pimentel was an unused substitute in the recently concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Pimentel is mainly a forward, who can also operate as a midfielder. The 27 year old has earned 23 caps for the national team scoring once. Pimentel has mostly spent his club career in Panama with the likes of Plaza Amador and SUNTRACS. He has also plied his trade for Colombian side La Equidad as well.

Gokulam’s Technical Advisor, Greco has taken up the responsibility to recruit the foreign players. The Brazilian who has working experience in over 40 nations, including his country has brought in a number of strong foreigners to their squad. They have brought in former Kerala Blasters forward Antonio Germain to their ranks, Ugandan Musa Mudde, Uzbek Evgeniy Kochnev and Argentine defender Fabricio Ortiz.





If Valentin Pimentel finally agrees to join their squad, he will not only be the second player after Costa Rican Johnny Acosta to join yet another Indian club, right after the conclusion of the 2018 World Cup but it will also add more depth to the Kerala side, which will make them really a team to be reckon with in the upcoming season.
