The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player on Tuesday shared a disturbing picture on his instagram handle. The picture shows a cop in the US pointing a rubber-bullet gun at a child during the ongoing protests over George Floyd's death in Minneapolis. The swashbuckling Jamaican all rounder also wrote a message with the picture, which says, "Look at this shit thats going on this is disturbing. Wonder whats going g on in this poor little girl mind #thisneedtostopnow."

Russell is not the first cricketer to voice his opinion after the tragic passing way of Floyd. Earlier, his compatriot Chris Gayle too called for racism to be wiped away from cricket.


The tragic passing away of Floyd has sparked massive outrage across the United States as people are protesting over his death. At least 4 police officers have been suspended by the authorities and people are demanding that all four should be charged for murder. A horrifying video of Floyd's death had also gone viral on social media where he can be seen pleading "I can't breathe" as a white police officer rested his knee on his neck.
