Ambati Rayudu Retirement Drama: Why did CSK batter deleted his retirement tweet 15 minutes after posting it?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Why did Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu deleted his retirement tweet 15 minutes after posting it on Saturday? Is there anything cooking inside the CSK camp? Rayudu on Saturday afternoon shocked the cricketing fraternity by announcing retirement. But chose to delete it 15 minutes after posting it.

Why did Rayudu delete his retirement tweet? Was he forced to delete his tweet?

At around 12:46 pm on Saturday, Rayudu tweeted, “I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and CSK for the wonderful journey.”

Rayudu deleted the tweet 15 minutes later sparking speculation between him and CSK management.

There is no official statement yet from the franchise management. But it is assumed that Rayudu’s tweet took CSK management by surprise. As soon as tweet started doing the rounds, CSK management got concerned as still some matches are to be played by the team. He might have been asked to take down the tweet with immediate effect.

So, was Rayudu upset by something? Why did he tweet in the middle of tournament and announce his retirement and then take the tweet back?

The experienced batter from Hyderabad has been hot and cold this season for CSK. He has scored only 271 runs from 12 matches at an average of 27. His Strike Rate of 124 this season which has been far below his career strike rate.

There has been too many drama in the Chennai based franchise this season. It started with MS Dhoni deciding to step down from captaincy ahead of the start of the season. Ravindra Jadeja took over the captaincy but relinquished the post as it was affecting his batting. The all rounder was unfollowed on Instagram by the franchise. Jadeja decided to pull out of IPL 2022 citing injury. And now the latest retirement tweet drama from Rayudu. All is not well with Chennai Super Kings.
