Al Nassr coach wanted to sign Lionel Messi ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo | Watch Video

Xtra Time Web Desk: It seems Al Nassr coach Rudi Garcia is a big Lionel Messi fan. The 37-year-old gaffer has jokingly said in a press conference that he wanted to sign the Argentina talisman ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

“First I tried to take Messi,” Garcia’s comment during a press conference will not go down well with the five-time Ballon D’Or winner Ronaldo.

Here is the video:

Ronaldo signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr worth $200 million.

There is a possibility that Ronaldo may face Lionel Messi in a friendly match on January 19. The match will be between Paris Saint Germain and a combined XI of players from Al Nassr and Al Hilal. Messi will soon join PSG after a long break since leading Argentina to FIFA World Cup title in Qatar.

Ronaldo will join the Saudi club soon. He parted ways with Manchester United Old last month following an explosive television interview in which the 37-year-old forward said he felt betrayed by the club and did not respect their Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.
