Xtra Time Web Desk: Asian giants Saudi Arabia created the biggest upset of FIFA World Cup 2022 as they defeated two times World Champions Argentina 2-1 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on Tuesday. It is one of the greatest comebacks win by Saudi Arabia.

It was Argentina who took the lead in the 3rd minute through Messi. The talisman converted a penalty as he kept his cool from the spot to send Al Owais the wrong way as the ball slowly rolled into the left hand corner of the net. It was Messi’s 92nd career goal.

Saudi Arabia equalized moments after the interval as the ball slipped through to Al-Shehri in the box, but from a tight angle in the area, the forward finds the far corner of the net with a brilliant shot and that has come 2 mins and 41 seconds into the second half.

The game turned on its head as Saudi Arabia went ahead in the 53rd minute. Al-Shehr initially has a goal bound shot blocked in the box, before the ball went to Al-Dawsari on the edge of the area. The Saudi striker turns in a tight space and then curls an absolute beauty into the top righthand corner of the net, much to the joy of the Saudi fans in the stands.
