Ajinkya Rahane recalled as selectors announce India squad for ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final

Xtra Time Web Desk: The All-India Senior Selection Committee on Tuesday announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming World Test Championship Final against Australia to be played at the Oval starting from June 7.

Ajinkya Rahane has been recalled after his good showing in domestic cricket as well as in the ongoing IPL 2023 season. Unfortunately, Suryakumar Yadav has failed to find a place in the squad. Shardul Thakur too finds a place in the test side after missing out during the series against Australia.

As expected the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant are not picked because they are injured. Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav also miss out from the test squad that were part of the third and fourth Tests against Australia.

Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat has retained his place in the 5-man pace attack, which also has Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja are the three specialist spinners in the side.
