A thumping victory for Hyderabad FC as they beat Chennaiyin FC 4-1

XtraTime Web Desk – A convincing victory for Hyderabad FC as they beat Chennaiyin FC pretty easily.

Hyderabad FC played quite some attractive football right from the start. They could have scored a couple of times but Vishal Kaith denied or their strikers missed a couple of opportunities. Vishal Kaith definitely saved Chennaiyin in the first half otherwise Hyderabad could have been at least 2-0 up. Chennaiyin did create some chances but Hyderabad were all over them. The first half ended 0-0 but Hyderabad looked to be in total control of the match.

In the second half, Hyderabad were getting the result. They scored their first goal in the 50th minute as Joel Chianese gave the yellow brigade an important lead. Just couple of minutes later, Hyderabad scored again. This time, Halicharan Nazary’s strike put Hyderabad in a much better position.

Chennaiyin pulled one back in the 67th minute as it gave Chennaiyin a ray of hope for a comeback. Anirudh Thapa scored for Chennaiyin but that couldn’t motivate his teammates. Joao Victor scored in the 74th minute to restore Hyderabad’s 2 goal lead. Halicharan Nazary scored again in the 79th minute to bring a three goal for Hyderabad. The match ended 4-1 in favour of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad are now 6th in the points table with 12 points from 9 matches. Chennaiyin on the other hand are placed 8th in the points table. They have 10 points from 9 games.
