A last minute goal from Igor Angulo helped Goa beat Jamshedpur 2-1

XtraTime Web Desk – What a comeback from FC Goa. A last minute goal gave them three very crucial points after two consecutive defeats. Jamshedpur couldn’t keep their lead as the red miners lost 2-1 in the hands of Gaurs.

The match was very tight in the initial minutes. Jamshedpur kept attacking as Goa were trying to play possessional and then counter attacking football. Both the teams created few chances but Jamshedpur struck first in the 33rd minute as Stephen Eze put the ball behind the bars to give Jamshedpur the lead. The half ended as the Gaurs were trailing 1-0 at half-time.

Jamshedpur kept challenging Goa in the second half. They could’ve taken a lead in the 52nd minute but Nawaz brilliantly saved Aniket Jadhav’s shot. That could have been a goal in any other day. After that, Goa started playing offensive football. They changed their style and that helped them. Angulo missed a chance in the 54th minute but didn’t disappoint the fans as he brought Goa into level terms in the 64th minute. Goa kept the pressure on Jamshedpur as they kept on creating chances. Valskis got a chance to give Jamshedpur the lead but his free-kick hit the top bar.

It was again Igor Angulo who rescued Goa as he scored in the 94th minute to give Goa a very crucial 3 points. With this, Goa is now 5th in the table with 11 points from 8 games while Jamshedpur FC is on 6th with 10 points from 8 games.
