2018 FIFA WC: Lionel Messi’s Argentina reaches their home base in Russia

XtraTime Web Desk: Lionel Messi led Argentine football team has reached Russia for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup on Saturday. They will face Iceland in their opening encounter on June 16. The other two teams of Group D are Croatia and Nigeria. The top two teams from each group qualify for the last 16. The last time runners-up will start their training session today at their base camp in Bronnitsy.

“Argentina is already in Russia. Countdown to the most important football event in the world!” the team, which will be based at the Bronnitsy training center in the Moscow region, wrote on Twitter.

The world will be eager to see Messi’s performance this year as this may be his last World Cup and he would give everything to win the Cup for the first time.
