Kolkata: Mohun Bagan will be facing Churchill Brothers in their next I-League game right after their derby win against arch-rivals East Bengal at Barasat. The city giants had a rigorous practice session right before their encounter on Sunday.

Star forward Dipanda Dicka practiced after suffering an injury in the derby however Yuta Kinowaki didn’t practice with the team. According to Kingsley the derby victory has instilled huge confidence among the players however credit is to be given to Sony Norde for his command-ship.

Kinowaki has been suffering from his old groin injury however assistant coach Shankarlal Chakraborty said, “He is unwell. He still have 48 hours to go, let’s see.” However if Kinowaki doesn’t play then Bagan has reserves like Sourav Mondal or Shilton D’Silva.

“Sony always imbibes confidence in us and motivates us and we too follow him. He always says that there should be more work and less talk” said Kingsley.
As has been the tendency, the team which wins the derby often loses points in the very next game to which Kingsley said, ” What happened is history. Our job is to do what the coach says. At this moment we want to focus on the Churchill match”

Along with that Kingsley has also acknowledged that playing in the astro-turf at Barasat will be tough. Similarly Shankarlal said, ” Whatever happens we will have to play at Barasat, we have nothing to do”
