shah Internet Desk: India stumper Wriddhiman Saha was taken to a hospital in Chandigarh today. Saha injured his webbing in the right hand while keeping in the second test at Vizag. The wicket keeper from Bengal was taken to a hospital along with Md Shami as a precautionary measure. The England and India teams reached Chandigarh on Tuesday to take part in the third test of the series which gets under way at the PCA stadium from Thursday. Both teams will be taking a day off tomorrow from practice. The injury to Saha is not serious, according to well placed sources. The wicketkeeper batsman was retained in the squad for the remaining three test matches on Tuesday. He did not have a good series so far managing just 49 runs from 4 innings and taking 6 catches. He also dropped couple of easy catches in the first innings of the first test match at Rajkot. Although he is having a lackluster series so far, but his smart work behind the stumps to run out Hasseb Hameed in Vizag was widely praised. He did a Dhoni while inflicting the dismissal as he back flicked with one action to break the stumps. Dhoni was involved in a similar dismissal in the fourth ODI against New Zealand to dismiss Ross Taylor. It was a crucial breakthrough as both Cook and Hameed looked set for a big score. The team management is pretty hopeful that Wriddhiman will be fit for the third test against England. In case he is not fit then KL Rahul will keep behind the wickets.
