World Cup 2023: India versus Netherlands warm up game abandoned due to rain
Xtra Time Web Desk: The Men in Blue have had quite an eventful journey leading up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Their pre-tournament preparations have been marred by rains as both the warm up gam es in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram got abandoned. Rohit Sharma and his boys have so far travelled 6150 kilometers for their two warm-up games, but they were met with disappointment as the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The second warm-up game, scheduled to take place in Thiruvananthapuram against the Netherlands on Tuesday also faced a similar fate due to persistent rains. The Indian cricketers didn't even make it to the Greenfield stadium, as the inclement weather had been a constant companion since the previous night. This series of unfortunate events has disrupted their practice and acclimatization ahead of the World Cup.
